 Agricolus contributes to the achievement of some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) signed with Agenda 2030 in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries.

The 17 goals aim to end poverty, fight inequality, promote social and economic development and face climate change.

Environmental goals:

2. Zero hunger

Key areas for achieving zero hunger include doubling agricultural productivity and ensuring sustainable food production systems by 2030, as well as adopting sustainable agricultural practices that increase productivity and production, help sustain ecosystems, and strengthen the capacity to adapt to climate change, extreme weather conditions, drought, floods and other disasters, and gradually improve the quality of land and soil. Thanks to the features of the Agricolus platform, farmers and agricultural organizations, among its other features, have access to tools that allow them to optimize yields, monitor product quality, improve crop management, and reduce resource use costs. The integrated platform simplifies access to the organization of work processes for all stakeholders of the created agro-ecosystem, which leads to more efficient planning of the work chain, and this, in turn, allows to contribute to ensuring food security around the world and overcome the hunger problem.

6. Clean water and sanitation

By 2030, global water demand will grow by more than 50%, and agriculture alone will need more than what can be supplied to feed the world, even before domestic and industrial needs are met. Therefore in support of UN initiatives to ensure accessibility and sustainable management of water and sanitation, Agricolus solutions allows to preserve water and soil quality by helping farmers manage agrochemicals and preventing the overuse or unnecessary application of fertilizers and pesticides.

12. Responsible consumption and production

Among the goals aimed at ensuring sustainable consumption and production by 2030, the UN is striving to achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources. Soil degradation is a real and growing threat posed by unsustainable land use and management practices, as well as extreme climatic events that result from various social, economic and governance factors. In line with the United Nations mission to promote decent jobs for all and economic growth, Agricolus actively promotes the development and deployment of technologies to increase productivity in agriculture, which is one of the most labor-intensive industries and the economy as a whole. With instruments used in the Agricolus platform such as Professional Dashbord, which is designed for an agronomist to monitor the field conditions of one or more farms, farmers are able to use the specific features including crop-specific forecast models, sensors and weather stations that significantly optimize and facilitate the workflow of the field staff.

Ensuring healthy lifestyles and well-being for all at all ages is one of the overarching goals of sustainable development and essential for common prosperity. 11. Sustainable cities and communities

Making cities inclusive, safe and resilient is one of the priorities towards achieving sustainable development that can be achieved by maintaining positive economic, social and environmental links between urban and rural areas. Precision farming is one of the most effective approaches for organizing and maintaining rural-urban partnerships that operate where rural and urban areas coexist and connect in one or more functional units.
