Agricolus contributes to the achievement of some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) signed with Agenda 2030 in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries.
The 17 goals aim to end poverty, fight inequality, promote social and economic development and face climate change.
The sustainable development goals for Agricolus

Environmental goals:
2. Zero hunger
Key areas for achieving zero hunger include doubling agricultural productivity and ensuring sustainable food production systems by 2030, as well as adopting sustainable agricultural practices that increase productivity and production, help sustain ecosystems, and strengthen the capacity to adapt to climate change, extreme weather conditions, drought, floods and other disasters, and gradually improve the quality of land and soil. Thanks to the features of the Agricolus platform, farmers and agricultural organizations, among its other features, have access to tools that allow them to optimize yields, monitor product quality, improve crop management, and reduce resource use costs. The integrated platform simplifies access to the organization of work processes for all stakeholders of the created agro-ecosystem, which leads to more efficient planning of the work chain, and this, in turn, allows to contribute to ensuring food security around the world and overcome the hunger problem.
6. Clean water and sanitation
By 2030, global water demand will grow by more than 50%, and agriculture alone will need more than what can be supplied to feed the world, even before domestic and industrial needs are met. Therefore in support of UN initiatives to ensure accessibility and sustainable management of water and sanitation, Agricolus solutions allows to preserve water and soil quality by helping farmers manage agrochemicals and preventing the overuse or unnecessary application of fertilizers and pesticides.
12. Responsible consumption and production
Among the goals aimed at ensuring sustainable consumption and production by 2030, the UN is striving to achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources. As a result of active innovations implementation in the development of its products, Agricolus helps its customers not only to achieve the safe handling of agrochemicals and other waste and to avoid the use of harmful substances where possible, which reduces their negative impact on soil, water and air and hence on human health, but also provide with possibility to participate in educational courses and events which enables to increase the awareness of all stakeholders on environmentally friendly growing and production. Agricolus Professional Academy opens more opportunities for agricultural professionals in optimizing their work on the field by integrating specific skills and innovative technologies.
13. Climate action
Going alone UN initiatives and efforts to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts, Agricolus empowers the agro-sector players to apply climate-resilient farming tools that not only ensure resource sustainability, but also increase agricultural productivity and income even in difficult times among other by providing the necessary technological support and important information to farmers by monitoring the climate and pests of agricultural crops in order to enable them to take adequate preventive measures on protection of the harvest.
15. Life on land
Soil degradation is a real and growing threat posed by unsustainable land use and management practices, as well as extreme climatic events that result from various social, economic and governance factors. Sharing UNP’s goals of conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystems, as well as restoration and prevention of land and soil degradation, Agricolus is able to provide an integrated approach to solving these and other environmental problems that arise in the agricultural process using data driven Decision Support Systems (DSS) that allow to reduce costs and losses and minimize the environmental footprint.
Minimization of the agricultural costs:
8. Decent work and economic growth
Sustainable and inclusive economic growth leads to progress, job creation and improved living standards. In line with the United Nations mission to promote decent jobs for all and economic growth, Agricolus actively promotes the development and deployment of technologies to increase productivity in agriculture, which is one of the most labor-intensive industries and the economy as a whole. With instruments used in the Agricolus platform such as Professional Dashbord, which is designed for an agronomist to monitor the field conditions of one or more farms, farmers are able to use the specific features including crop-specific forecast models, sensors and weather stations that significantly optimize and facilitate the workflow of the field staff.
9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure
On the path to building sustainable infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialization and innovation, UN seeks to modernize infrastructure and industries to make them sustainable with increased resource efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally friendly technologies and industrial processes. In turn, Agricolus contributes to the achievement of these goals not only by actively using the already available means for conducting precision farming, but also by developing its own, such as AgriPlug and AgriTrack. Furthermore, the efficient precision farming solutions provided by Agricolus enable small and medium agribusiness players to expand their access to new markets and successfully integrate into value chains.
Quality of food improvement:
3. Good health and well-being
By 2030, global water demand will grow by more than 50%, and agriculture alone will need more than what can be supplied to feed the world, even before domestic and industrial needs are met. Therefore in support of UN initiatives to ensure accessibility and sustainable management of water and sanitation, Agricolus solutions allows to preserve water and soil quality by helping farmers manage agrochemicals and preventing the overuse or unnecessary application of fertilizers and pesticides.
11. Sustainable cities and communities
Making cities inclusive, safe and resilient is one of the priorities towards achieving sustainable development that can be achieved by maintaining positive economic, social and environmental links between urban and rural areas. Precision farming is one of the most effective approaches for organizing and maintaining rural-urban partnerships that operate where rural and urban areas coexist and connect in one or more functional units. Agricolus, in turn, facilitates the work of such enterprises and provides a special two-level ecosystem for the application of Multifarm solutions for food industry enterprises, associations, consortia and cooperatives. It is the organization of such cooperation that helps to establish and strengthen ties in the village-city chain, which are not only a tool for increasing economic prosperity, but also perform a social function that is an integral part of the principles of sustainable development.
